at Half Gallery again, this time with Taylor Mead, an older gentleman who appeared in Warhol’s films, loves cats and wrote subversive drug induced poetry in the late 60’s (at least that’s what I read on Wikipedia). apparently people survived that whole scene. anyways, Mr. Mead took quotes from his writing and chalked them onto black paper for his “Aphorisms” from On Amphetamine and in Europe show at Half Gallery. also, look for Mr. Mead in Coffee and Cigarettes or hear him reciting work at the Bowery Poetry Club.
